Photo Shoots..

So...I went to Salt Lake for a few days with my mom before Matt got home from Wisconsin. Her and her friend had a little party taking pictures of him. We have about 100 but I just thought I would put a few up. Matt got in Friday night and we picked him up at the airport and took a few family pics. I started feeling so much better the past few days and love it!! Still a little sleep deprived, my mom was a Huge help with that. We are now back home without my moms help...so we will see how things go from here on out!! But we are both very glad to have dad back home to spend some time with him!!! :)
Poor little guy was holding onto Matt's arm for dear life!!!
Our little trick was to put his pacifire in his mouth and then take it out really quick before the picture, well... he caught on and had a death grip on it! It was kind of cute, so we took some more pictures of thaT!!
We gave him a bath and his little strands of hair are soo curly when they are wet!
My mom also had fun laying him everywhere she could and just taking pictures! It kept him awake for a good part of the day and he slept soo good last night!!
So..these were actually taken in the hospital by my grandma. He happened to be wide awake when she came in and she sent them to me so I thought I would put them up!

Colton and Basketball

So the last few days with Colton have been amazing! It has been the greatest experience being a mom and i have loved every second of it! I still sit back and think sometimes about this life that Matt and I are now responsible for and its amazing. The first night I thought I was starving him because he was soo hungry all the time. Now that we have the whole feeding thing down, I think he just has a big appetite like his dad! (ok...and like his mom) Here is a picture of him with his hand in his mouth again..favorite position!
I had to take this picture of him sleeping so peacefully!
Matt and Colton passed out on the couch. Matt has been such a good dad. He has been so busy the past few days but everytime he comes home he just wants to hold him..and then sleep! My mom has been so amazing..she will tell us to go upstairs and take a nap, and we both just run up the stairs and try to sleep as fast as possible! I don't know what we're going to do when she leaves! Hopefully we will have everything figured out by then!
So...last night Matt played the University of Utah and they won! I was debating this week whether or not to leave me 3 day old baby and go, but I decided I could let grandma stay at home for a few hours and go...and I was so glad I didn't miss the game! It was seriously one of the greatest games I have watched Matt play. I know it's so dumb but I'm so proud of him because he works sooo hard and has worked so hard to become the player that he is even after dealing with me and us having a baby 3 days ago! Anyway, I have been really bad about taking pictures at all of the games, but I found this one on the ISU website and I loved what the caption underneath it said, "The proud papa Matt Stucki was stoked after ISU's win over Utah 72-68" I thought that was so cute.
This is another picture I found on the ISU website, and it was there game against BYU. They ended up losing this game by about 20, but Matt had another awesome game. Everyone keeps coming up to me and asking me to pop another baby out cause it's making Matt play so well.

He's here...

YAY!! I am finally have some energy to post some pics! Colton Matthew Stucki was born December 3, 2008 at 1:09 pm. I got into the hospital at about 7:00 pm on December 2, and they started me on Cytotec(sp) which is a pill they put up there to soften your cervix every 4 hours. So...after a long night of laying and waiting, at 8 am. the doctor came and broke my water and started me on pitocin. Wow...from that moment, I started having contractions every 2 minutes. I went from 2 cm. dialated to 6 cm. in an hour. Finally, I decided I wanted an epiderall. I was really glad I made that decision, although I felt the nurses were kind of forcing it upon me. So, after about an hour I got the epiderall and fell fast asleep! I was so relieved because 2 hours of contractions with no break was NO fun! So..my mom and matt kept checking and I was still having contractions every 1-2 minutes. Anyway, I told the nurse to come check me again after an hour and a half, and sure enough I was dialated to a 10. She said, get ready to push. So, I only pushed for 30 minutes and there he was!! The nurse told me I would have to push for 1-2 hours, but I was not about to do that. Anyway, here he is moments after birth...such an amazing experience. Matt and I didn't even know what to say or do after they layed him on me..wow! He is amazing and it is such a miracle how it all works so perfectly!
So..he weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long--that is exactly what I was!!
Here is after his bath once he finally got settled...His hair was really curly at first, but now he's got a little spike going at the top!
He loves to suck his fingers and constantly is putting them up by his mouth.
So, when I got home I got a nice nap while my mom "babysat" He ended up falling asleep on her and they both had nice nap too!!
All swaddled up!
I didn't really want to put this picture on, but you have to have it for the memories! This was after they cleaned and weighed him and brought him back to me! Matt was so amazing during the whole thing, and I'm so glad he was able to be there. It was an experience we will never forget! I came home today at about noon and was soo glad to get out of the hospital away from the never ending nurses!! My mom is here helping for the next week, and I am soo grateful because Matt goes out of town on Monday :( Anyway, his parents did a big photo shoot so hopefully I will have more pictures to post soon!!

YAY!

sO...just a quick update before I go into the hospital. I went to the doctor this morning and he scheduled me to be induced tonight at 8! It seems unreal that it is happening...but soo exciting! It works very nicely because Matt is here, and won't have to miss any more basketball when the team gets back. It was kind of funny..there was an article about Matt missing the game and why in the paper today. So..all of the sweet nurses, and my doctor photo-copied the article over and over and put them all the way down the hall and in the room we were in. It was cute! I might secretly miss going and seeing them every week..haha maybe!

waiting and waiting...

So another little update...some good news! Matt went and talked to his coach about going to Washington State and his coach told him there was no reason to go, and he needed to stay here in case I had the baby!!! YAY. It was a big relief, so now I really really would love to have the baby in the next few days. Anyway, I am feeling pretty nauseous and crampy so we'll see what happens. I called the doctor and let them know that Matt was staying and the nurse said they had all read about it in the paper already..haha. Anyway, I said see how big of a deal it is that he is not going, that means the baby needs to come soon! So, hopefully we will be able to work something out and have him in the next 2 days!
Also, we thought of a name that might just be "the name." I have to tell the story behind it. So, we were watching football, Texas was playing. Their quarterbacks name is Colt McCoy. So, I instantly loved the name Colt. Well, the next day, my mom sent me a message saying she heard a cute name at church, Colton! Coincidence? ANyway, so we are thinking Colton Matthew, and calling him "Colt." So..that is the name for now most likely, hopefully it sticks around!
I also have been thinking a lot about actually having a baby, and it still seems very surreal. We are getting so excited though and can't wait to meet him!
