18 months....ALMOST

Last week we went to Colton's "15-18" month old appointment. His appointments kind of got a little mixed up from being in Germany-- he missed one set of shots, but at least he got the German measles shot :)

Anyway, so his appointment was about a month early. It was nice to actually be able to communicate with the doctor about what he should be doing at this age, etc.

She said he is about 7 months taller than kids his age, whatever that means (34 inches)...and he is 29.2 lbs. I am pretty sure he is even heavier than that because he also had "Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease" and had been having diarrhea for 2 weeks straight, and NOT eating a thing so he probably lost some. (I just say that because I have to carry him around). Basically, he is a pretty solid little boy.

I was starting to get a little nervous about his diarrhea, MAJOR diaper rash, and not eating--but just thought it would go away eventually. She took one look in his mouth and diagnosed him, she said he had sores all over the back of his mouth and I should be giving him medication, but he was nearing the end of it at that point. Poor kid, I didn't even give him a thing while he was in all that pain!

Anyway, he also is NOT really talking much, the doctor said he should be saying 6-15 words, he says hmmm...4-5. He rambles a TON though, and I know he is trying to talk--one day it's all just going to come out! Oh, but he can make all the animal noises :)

He was going through a phase where he screamed to get what he wanted (NOT GOOD, but what do you expect when he can't TELL me what he wants). But, we have really tried to work with him, now he just screams when he is mad ;) haha. Anyway, instead of screaming now, he takes whoever's hand is near him and guides it to what he wants. It's Hilarious! He will even grab my hand and try to push someone away if they are to close to him. I mean, he does it ALL the time!!

Anyway, we love him but can't believe how fast he is growing up!

My aunt went "garage selling" the morning after Tyson and Carli's wedding and she found a basketball hoop and ball for $5!! Awesome, so we had to try it out, ALL DAY LONG!

University OF Idaho

In the fall, we will be headed to Moscow, Idaho for Matt to attend the University of Idaho law school. You would think because it is in Idaho that we would still be close to family...but NOPE, it's an 8 hour drive from Pocatello, and 10 1/2 from Salt Lake City!!

Another GREAT thing, is that it's Green (or so I've heard). We will also be right on the border of Idaho and Washington, and Washington State University is about a 5 minute drive :)

Matt found out about a month ago that he got accepted, but we still have been debating about him playing basketball again. I feel like being in another country gave me a whole new outlook on a lot of things in life, and I absolutely LOVED the opportunity of living over there. But...I guess all good things come to an end :) Law School is something Matt has wanted to do for a long time, and it's about time he get started with it! We are excited for another adventure!

Tyson and Carli's Wedding :)

Wow, what a day!

It began at the temple that morning, SUCH a beautiful sunny day!

My cousin, Tenille and I, awkwardly wore the same dress!

Kelsey and Travis with Colton---of course!

Colton has gotten really into "Tickling" people...especially his Uncle Travis who he is going to miss a whole lot!

Playing with Uncle Tuvy like always

My mom set up the beautiful luncheon...Colty sat in his chair the whole 2 hours and ate and played...he was SOO good!

Maybe because he got to eat Cake Pops the whole time! They are SOO good... Cake mixed with cream cheese (frozen) and covered with chocolate!

Julie is and Amazing decorator!

After the luncheon we headed up to the house where the reception was going to be at, and these houses were beautiful! It was 4:30 and RAINING! The reception was supposed to start at 6:30 and was going to be outside! Everything was already set up....so we went to see the damage!

Luckily...the girl who was at the house made it outside in time to salvage some of the stuff, but the rest was pretty wet! We loaded everything up in trucks and drove down to the church. At 5:30 it started to clear up, and they were trying to decide if they should move it back up to the house which they had spent weeks planting flowers and it was beautiful! About 5:45, they decided to stay at the church, so we gathered up all the blow dryers we could, and started drying everything. A few minutes after 6:30-- It was all set up and still beautiful :) We also went outside about then, and it was also beautiful--BUMMER!

ANYWAY-- the reception ended up being so fun although it didn't go quite as planned!

Colton and Stockton (Carli's sisters son) I tried to get ONE decent picture of both of them together and this was all I got!

Hattie (my cousin) stayed here most of the weekend, and she became good friends with Colty :)

Uuuh...he looks a lot more sad than he really was!

Loves BUBBLES

We're soo happy to have Carli in our family!!

Colt

Colton is almost 18 months!!! I know everyone always says time goes by soo fast with kids, but I can't believe my baby is really turning into a little boy.

He is seriously the greatest little guy and we love him so much.

He loves to give kisses and hugs!

The only thing he will sit down and watch for more than 30 seconds is Baby Einstein-- and I have to strap him down in his high chair to get him to watch it...it last about 10-20 minutes!

Just this week, I have switched him to one nap a day, most days it's great--- some days he is pretty tired!

He loves living with his uncles... They play and play and play with him!

All 4 of his molars are coming in right now...and I can tell he hasn't quite been himself-- but it's lasting a month and they are still coming in!

Colton LOVES animals, chocolate milk, balls, being OUTSIDE, putting on his shoes, laughing, sleeping, brushing his teeth and hair, lotion bottles, phones (every time the phone rings, he runs to it squealing), food (when he is ready for lunch he starts putting his hand to his mouth and runs to the high chair), and of course his Family!

And we love him :)

I love to see the temple

The Salt Lake Temple has always been one of my favorites, and it is SO beautiful this time of yeaR!

Travis---Will be leaving on a mission in a month--- went through the temple for the first time- what a great experience!

We then headed off to Twin Falls, Idaho for a basketball tournament Matt was playing in... Colty in the car--LOOK at those LIPS! How can you resist??

Twin Falls is actually really pretty. I have been there quite a few times, but never really remembered. I kept meaning to stop and take a picture, but never got the chance- so this is the google version (maybe a little better than what mine would have looked like)

We also went to visit Matt's family and all the GIRLS made a scrapbook of the Stucki's in Germany for Mother and Father's Day! It turned out awesome!!

YESterday-- we went to the temple again this time with Carli!

The beautiful Oquirrh Mountain Temple view and the soon to be bride and groom!

Matt and I

Uncle Tuvy- we will miss him!

The FAM

What an AWESOME experience to go to the temple with new family members and know that we will be able to be with them FORever!
