Spring!!!..not really

Welll...I thought that life would get a whole lot less busy when basketball was over, but it seems like now we are playing catch up! However, we have had some fun! About a month ago, we drove down to Weber for Matt's tournament. They ended up losing their first game down there in the semifinals. I cried and cried, but the next day I sure was glad to have Matt home:) He is now thinking of playing overseas..so basketball might not actually be over for us! We will see...
So..Colton has become so fun in the past month! We went to his 4 month check up a few days ago, and he is 17 lbs. 8 oz. and about 26 1/2 inches. He is definitely a big boy!! Now I wish this picture described his favorite thing to do..but not quite!

So, about a month ago we took a picture of him sitting in this, and he struggled quite a bit, but over the past month he has been able to hold his head up soo much better! He loves to be up and feel like he is part of everything!
So...I had to take a picture of him all ready to go in his carseat because I feel like I am ALWAYS putting him in here. He is my little friend and gets to go Everywhere with me!
Well the doctor also said at our appointment, Start feeding that boy!! So, we bought this bumbo for him to sit in while we fed him. He cracks me up though because he will never smile for the camera, every time I take it out he just stares at it with his cheeks hanging down!
Yep...there he goes!
He ate good for a while, but then he just wanted to eat his little fingers as always!!

I realized we hadn't taken any pictures of ourselves for a while with him, so here are the exciting photos of Colton with his parents!

Matt's good friend from his freshman year, Paul Martin, and his girlfriend Kelly came in town and we got to hang out with them for a night! It was a lot of fun, something that we don't do often enough! Colton was too tired to enjoy the fun!

A few other things about Colton..he was rolling over more a month ago then now! He loves to stand in our lap. He rarely wants to sit unless he is tired, but he has to be standing up in our lap--and he squeals the whole time like it's the greatest thing ever! He loves to make noises and play with toys! I will put something in front of his face and he works his little hands up to it until he grabs it...especially if it's my hair!! Anyway, he is so much fun and we love every moment we have had with him!!

3 months and counting...

Well..my little Colton is now 3 months old!! I can't believe how fast time goes by! Every day he is learning to do more and more. And every day he is gaining and gaining!! I look at clothes in his closet thinking they won't fit, and put them on and they are almost too small! He is fitting into pretty much all of his 6-9 month old outfits. I don't think he looks THAT chunky to me, he is just a big boy!
He has had lots of great babysitters the past month while I have to go to school at night:( I got home from class on Monday night and looked at my camera, and there were a bunch of pictures of him and my good friend Mikkel..hehe! Look how cute they are!
I love putting him on his belly because he has been lifting his head soo good, and he pulls the funniest faces! He also ROLLED oveR!! It was really exciting moment for us all..haha! After he did it once, I thought it was a fluke, but every time I put him on his stomach now, he rolls over. It's his big head that just pulls him right down!!
So..Matt's parents have this toy for babies who are probably a little older than Colton(once they can hold their heads up) But--we decided to try it out and stuff blankets behind him. He loved being in there and bounced his legs up and down, but wasn't too interested in the toys-he just wanted to stare at his mom and dad!
More tummy time..his head is getting a little tired.
Mom and Colt before church...
And we had to get one with dad too...right before church with his adorable shoes!

So..I think that my mom is in love with Colton as well. She came and stayed with us for a week cause we both had soo much school stuff going on, and Colton and her both loved it! He got attnetion all day, and she got to play with him all day! She has been soo much help to us, and we couldn't do it without her!
Colton and his Aunt Sarah..she is going to be a great mom!!
Moving onto basketball, which has pretty much been EVERYTHING we have done the past month. These are 2 of Matt's coaches wives and their babies that were all born during basketball season! One was born 2 days after, and the other a month after. kind of fun
Senior Night. Well, I always thought I would be excited for the end of basketball season, but it's a little bit different this year. I know how hard Matt has worked and it's kind of hard realizing it is going to be over. However, I think our lives are in a position where it won't be quite as hard. It was, however, an awesome night and very emotional.
I'm so proud of Matt and am going to miss watching him! He is the hardest worker I know and no matter what it is in life, he gives it his all!

My mom, Colt and I.
So, my family and Matt's family also got to take a trip to MOntana State and Univeristy of Montana. It ended up being a really fun trip! This is us after they beat Montana State!
So one of my greatest friends, Heather, who I played ball with at SLCC lives in Bozeman. Her husband is the athletic trainer for Montana State's mens basketball team. They have kind of gotten to be fans of MSU, which is fine, because we beat them...hehe! Anyway, she has a little boy who is over a year and soo soo cute! So, it was way fun to see them and spend a little bit of time with them:)

Annie and I at the Montana game having fun:)
My parents and I in Montana.

Anyway, as stressful as this past month has been, going to school, teaching and being a mom with Matt gone most of the time, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Being a mom has been the greatest thing and Colton is such a good baby and a Joy in our lives!!

Crazy Life:)

Well.. I feel like I am missing out on the blogging world lately..I don't have time to look at anyone's blog or update my own, Sooo I am taking this quiet Sunday evening while Matt is studying and I am holding my sleeping baby to update a little bit. Pretty much, the last few weeks have consisted of basketball, Baby, and School! Very very busy but actually a lot of fun! We went to Colton's 2 month appointment last week and he weighs 13 lbs. 14 oz! He is growing and changing so much every day. There is one month left of basketball, and it's definitely going to be a bittersweet ending. Obviously it will be sad not to watch Matt anymore, but it will be nice having a little more free time to hang out as a family!

We got to travel down to Weber State to watch Matt play and saw our good friends Kasey and Meridee who came to watch Matt play. Here is Meridee and her cute boy Jackson who is about 9 months old...someday Jackson and Colton will be able to play basketball together just like their dads did:)
Here is the 4 of us...Colton was getting a little angry with the picture taking!
Now, I have pretty much just become obsessed with taking pictures. Ever outfit I put on him, I take pictures because I don't want to miss anything. I know it's pathetic, but I'll be so glad that I did in the future. He changes so much every day!!
Okay, so I put an outfit on Colton first. Matt came home and went upstairs to put an outfit on to match him...hehe. He loves dressing like his little man. So, we decided we had to do a photo shoot of the two of them!

The many faces of COlton..

He only sleeps on the floor when Im changing his diaper if he is rrealllly tired...so this is not one we see too often!
Matt had to dress him in his Jordan outfit...even though it is a t-shirt and shorts in the middle of winter

Matt trying to teach him things...he is not paying any attention!
He is starting to smile!! A lot! However, I have yet to capture too many of those smiles!
Sleepy..

Getting ready to go to Matt's game with his ISU outfit!
Colton has become sooo fun the past couple of weeks! He makes soo many noises and is growing soo much!! We went to Matt's game last night and he sat and watched the whole second half talking away! I love being his mom more than anything and wish I didn't have anything else to do but be with him!!! We have his 2 month doctor appointment coming up soon so we will have to see how he is growing!!

Friday, January 16, 2009

Well..it has been a crazy couple of weeks! School started and I don't think I was quite ready. Oh well-life goes on!! Colton has been soo fun the past few weeks. He has started being soo much more alert and loves looking around everywhere with his big eyes!! He also loves finding things to suck on...in this case he found his thumb but doesn't quite know how to curl his fingers up so his long fingers are covering his whole face!
Here is his little Nike outfit...he is not too happy in this one
Wide eyed!!
So, I got up and dressed Colton in his little Jordan outfit. Matt came downstairs a little bit later in his Jordan outfit--so dad is dressing like his son:)
Happy little guy
