Nothing like a good workout...

Since I got out of high school (ok maybe a little in High School too) I have been obsessed with working out. In college, obviously, playing basketball made me work out- but I even went above and beyond that and would run after pracitce/on a day off. Throughout my entire pregnancy I did some kind of work out AT least 5 days a week. After I had Colton, I continued working out..bla bla bla.
ANYWAY- Since our arrival in Germany, I have not gone to the gym once (until 2 weeks ago). When we got here, they told us we had a free gym membership to a nice gym, and nope- I didn't use it. I have been walking every day and doing a few things at home, but I can't count that as officially Working OUT! So, last week- one of Matt's teammates wives, who is also American and has a 4 month old baby- and I started going to the gym. Wow, what was I thinking missing those 4 months??? We have gone every day and lifted hard/did cardio/abs/and stretched and I feel SO great! If anyone needs a boost of energy in these cold and dark winter months- start a work out program :)

I agree. I have been trying to do things at home and it is not the same as being at the gym. I do love getting a good run in. It has been awhile but I do LOVE it.

I am so bad. I am not a workout girl. I am a slacker. I am sure after the baby comes I will be come a workout-a-holic! haha. When are you coming home? I can't wait to see you and Colton! You are making a trip up to Idaho aren't you? Since I am not suppose to be an hour away from the hospital anymore, you will HAVE to come see me! ;)

winter is the hardest time for me to want to work out. it's dark, cold, snowy. i hate bundling up to go to the gym. but your post is a good reminder that it does make me feel better and i just need to wake up and do something!

I totally agree! I just started going to the gym again for the first time since we lived in Idaho! How's that for a long time! I used to love it and I still do. I can't believe its taken me so long to start going again. I'm glad you are back in the swing of things! Thats so nice you get a free membership!
