Random thoughts

We are leaving Moscow in 6 weeks!
I try not to think of it, but I have to pack eventually!

Colton is potty trained.
I waited until he was completely ready.
One day he put on underwear,
and now, over a week later
he has had maybe 2 accidents
and they weren't even enough to change his underwear.
It has been a great experience for both of us haha.

I love exercising.
I don't love the cold
It snowed all week!!!
I went into the gym Saturday morning
and was frustrated from the cold, sickness of all of us,
sad that we were moving, etc. etc.
and I worked out hard.
Nothing can quite do what exercise does for me.
It is my escape, my necessity, and my passion.
I know that sounds a little intense, but it's 100% true.

I have absolutely loved living in Moscow.
We have had some of the hardest of times and best of times.
We have met some of the best friends we have ever had.
I will cry when we leave, hard.
But that is life I guess.
I am sure I will rant about this more in the next 6 weeks.

Mylee's diarrhea is gone.
I have given her a packet of probiotics every day for 2 weeks.
And finally, she can sleep and we all can sleep!

Matt's sweet mom got my kids the cutest outfits for Easter!
I can't wait for them to wear them!

Matt is about to start preparing for finals.
So we might be seeings a little bit less of him the next month and a half.
And that's okay, as long as we have some nice weather!!

Anyway, life is good.
We are happy!

Greatest.week.ever

Spring Break.
Last week was Spring Break.
The weather was Great (at the beginning)
We went to a park.
With Matt!!

If you can't tell,
the kids Loved it.

Mylee became a little Daddy's Girl
with all the time she got to spend with him!
(She also developed a sassy little attitude)

Matt and the kids ate Fun Dip!

We watched basketball all day Thursday and Friday
On Friday afternoon I got to go up to Coeur D'Alene
and stay in my friends time share on the lake!!

We stayed up til 4 a.m. talking
Got up at 8 and went shopping in
Spokane ALL DAY long.
It was fun!

I got home...and could tell the kids missed me ;)
Colton showing me all of his "Faces"

I got Colton this awesome 24-piece puzzle for $5
He did it non-stop and mastered it after the first couple of tries!
He now sleeps with it in his bed,
I love how easy it is to please children!

It snowed this week.
We have been inside a lot.
And we miss our daddy!
The next 6 weeks of school better go by fast!

But then it means we have to leave Moscow
and I don't know how happy I am about that!

Intramural Championship week

Matt and I have both been playing intramurals for a month now.
Both of our teams made it to the playoffs.
That meant we both had a game every night last week.
Monday we both had a bye
So we enjoyed the one night not at the gym.

Tuesday we were getting ready to leave and got Mylee all ready.
Colton was taking a quick bath because we were going to get home late.
Matt and I were both getting ready...
All of the sudden I hear, "No baby!!!"  Followed by a splash.
I guess she wanted to take a bath too!

At least she is SO dang cute.
Mylee blowing kisses at the game!

We won our first games...Mylee getting ready to go the next night.
In her pajamas :)

My friend, Heather, who I play basketball with
and her daughter Jordan
Colton Loves Jordan, and obviously Heather
Reading books at the game!

They have a website where they post pictures from the games...so I stole a few of them.
These were from the championship

Here is my fun team that consisted of girls who are all in law school!
We lost in the championship..oh well!

They won!!!

I'm not going to lie, it was a pretty fun week.
Starting next week Matt and I are playing on a co-ed Intramural team together.
Lots more fun coming our way!

Free photo shoot

There is a lady in our area who has recently gotten into photography.
She had a contest and the winner got a free photo shoot.
MYLEE WON!!

I was really excited--
until we showed up
and my smiley little girl
would NOT smile.

Oh well, I think we still got some cute ones :)

But, I am pretty glad I didn't pay over $100 to get her pictures taken.
Maybe I will wait until I can bribe her before we do that again!!!

P.S. Mylee is 14 months old TOMORROW.
I swear she just turned a year.
Her new word is "UH-OH"
She throws food off her tray and says it
She throws my phone on the ground and says it
She falls off the couch and says it

She also puts her finger over her lips and says "SHHHH"
Way too often.

She gets so excited when she sees anyone, and starts squealing and waving.

She is starting to be a tiny bit less picky.

She goes to bed great, takes great naps, but is still having her diarrhea trouble.

She climbs all the way to the top of a big jungle gym turns around
and slides all the way down All by herself.
She has no fear.

She is such a Happy little girl!

We are so lucky she came to our family!

Boise

Last weekend we got to go to Boise to watch my brother, Tanner,
play in the State Basketball Tournament.
He is a senior in High School and it was his first year at Rigby H.S.
I think he is an awesome kid.
Not very many 17 year old boys can leave there school, friends and life
and create a new one and within a year
have new friends, play on a new team and do great,
and Enjoy life.
(Except my other brother, Tyson, who did it his senior year too--
My family is just awesome)

It was crazy watching their team.
The first game, the team was struggling a bit,
Tanner came in early in the first quarter and hit a 3, got a steal
and scored a lay-up at the other end.
They never looked back from there.
They won the 2nd game soundly
and in the championship game I kept saying to Matt,
"Are you kidding me?  They are going to win!"
I felt like it was never really hard for them
Matt kept saying to me, "I think you are underestimating how Good they are!"
Anyway, it was really fun to watch.

And best of all, we got to see my parents, my two brothers, and sister-in-law.
Oh, and grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins.
SOO much of our family went and supported Rigby.
It was awesome.

My brother, Tyson, and his wife Carli
Mylee went to bed at about 11-12 every night, and woke up before 7, one morning before 6.
She is not easy to sit with at games, AT ALL.  She likes to squirm and move and jump and climb, etc.
At the beginning of the championship game I laid her on my legs and she passed out.
She slept the entire game!!!
How awesome is that, we got to watch the entire game without chasing her!
Here they are...the Champions.
They had curtains for each team to go stand behind and celebrate/mingle after the game.
Colton loves his Uncle Tanner!

We ended up staying at the gym for at least 2 hours after the game.
Mylee was wired because she had just taken a nap until 8 o'clock at night.
Sometimes she is a little uncontrollable...but we wouldn't have it any other way!

We also got to check out some apartments in Boise.
My parents watched the kids all morning while we drove from place to place to place.
I think I am just more confused now about where to live!

Overall it was an awesome weekend.
We're so glad we got to see family and watch my brother play.
Mylee slept 4 out of the 5 hour drive home.
Greatest drive ever!

My kids

I feel like having 2 kids (for me) is SO much different than one.  SOOOO much different.
In both good ways, and some bad ways.

Here is Mylee in all her glory.

She is a climber, destroyer, sneaky little thing.
But she is really good at playing on her own and keeping herself busy.

Last week:
Some friends and I went penny bowling.
Colton LOVED it.

Mylee loved watching all of the action.

Colton would roll the ball down, and before it got halfway down
he was turned around doing a little victory dance.
Kind of funny.
