Photo Shoots..
So...I went to Salt Lake for a few days with my mom before Matt got home from Wisconsin. Her and her friend had a little party taking pictures of him. We have about 100 but I just thought I would put a few up. Matt got in Friday night and we picked him up at the airport and took a few family pics. I started feeling so much better the past few days and love it!! Still a little sleep deprived, my mom was a Huge help with that. We are now back home without my moms help...so we will see how things go from here on out!! But we are both very glad to have dad back home to spend some time with him!!! :)
Poor little guy was holding onto Matt's arm for dear life!!!

Our little trick was to put his pacifire in his mouth and then take it out really quick before the picture, well... he caught on and had a death grip on it! It was kind of cute, so we took some more pictures of thaT!!

Colton and Basketball
So the last few days with Colton have been amazing! It has been the greatest experience being a mom and i have loved every second of it! I still sit back and think sometimes about this life that Matt and I are now responsible for and its amazing. The first night I thought I was starving him because he was soo hungry all the time. Now that we have the whole feeding thing down, I think he just has a big appetite like his dad! (ok...and like his mom) Here is a picture of him with his hand in his mouth again..favorite position!
I had to take this picture of him sleeping so peacefully!
I had to take this picture of him sleeping so peacefully!
Matt and Colton passed out on the couch. Matt has been such a good dad. He has been so busy the past few days but everytime he comes home he just wants to hold him..and then sleep! My mom has been so amazing..she will tell us to go upstairs and take a nap, and we both just run up the stairs and try to sleep as fast as possible! I don't know what we're going to do when she leaves! Hopefully we will have everything figured out by then!
So...last night Matt played the University of Utah and they won! I was debating this week whether or not to leave me 3 day old baby and go, but I decided I could let grandma stay at home for a few hours and go...and I was so glad I didn't miss the game! It was seriously one of the greatest games I have watched Matt play. I know it's so dumb but I'm so proud of him because he works sooo hard and has worked so hard to become the player that he is even after dealing with me and us having a baby 3 days ago! Anyway, I have been really bad about taking pictures at all of the games, but I found this one on the ISU website and I loved what the caption underneath it said, "The proud papa Matt Stucki was stoked after ISU's win over Utah 72-68" I thought that was so cute.
This is another picture I found on the ISU website, and it was there game against BYU. They ended up losing this game by about 20, but Matt had another awesome game. Everyone keeps coming up to me and asking me to pop another baby out cause it's making Matt play so well.

He's here...
YAY!! I am finally have some energy to post some pics! Colton Matthew Stucki was born December 3, 2008 at 1:09 pm. I got into the hospital at about 7:00 pm on December 2, and they started me on Cytotec(sp) which is a pill they put up there to soften your cervix every 4 hours. So...after a long night of laying and waiting, at 8 am. the doctor came and broke my water and started me on pitocin. Wow...from that moment, I started having contractions every 2 minutes. I went from 2 cm. dialated to 6 cm. in an hour. Finally, I decided I wanted an epiderall. I was really glad I made that decision, although I felt the nurses were kind of forcing it upon me. So, after about an hour I got the epiderall and fell fast asleep! I was so relieved because 2 hours of contractions with no break was NO fun! So..my mom and matt kept checking and I was still having contractions every 1-2 minutes. Anyway, I told the nurse to come check me again after an hour and a half, and sure enough I was dialated to a 10. She said, get ready to push. So, I only pushed for 30 minutes and there he was!! The nurse told me I would have to push for 1-2 hours, but I was not about to do that. Anyway, here he is moments after birth...such an amazing experience. Matt and I didn't even know what to say or do after they layed him on me..wow! He is amazing and it is such a miracle how it all works so perfectly!
So..he weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long--that is exactly what I was!!
So..he weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long--that is exactly what I was!!
Here is after his bath once he finally got settled...His hair was really curly at first, but now he's got a little spike going at the top!
He loves to suck his fingers and constantly is putting them up by his mouth.
So, when I got home I got a nice nap while my mom "babysat" He ended up falling asleep on her and they both had nice nap too!!
All swaddled up!
I didn't really want to put this picture on, but you have to have it for the memories! This was after they cleaned and weighed him and brought him back to me! Matt was so amazing during the whole thing, and I'm so glad he was able to be there. It was an experience we will never forget! I came home today at about noon and was soo glad to get out of the hospital away from the never ending nurses!! My mom is here helping for the next week, and I am soo grateful because Matt goes out of town on Monday :( Anyway, his parents did a big photo shoot so hopefully I will have more pictures to post soon!!

YAY!
sO...just a quick update before I go into the hospital. I went to the doctor this morning and he scheduled me to be induced tonight at 8! It seems unreal that it is happening...but soo exciting! It works very nicely because Matt is here, and won't have to miss any more basketball when the team gets back. It was kind of funny..there was an article about Matt missing the game and why in the paper today. So..all of the sweet nurses, and my doctor photo-copied the article over and over and put them all the way down the hall and in the room we were in. It was cute! I might secretly miss going and seeing them every week..haha maybe!

waiting and waiting...
So another little update...some good news! Matt went and talked to his coach about going to Washington State and his coach told him there was no reason to go, and he needed to stay here in case I had the baby!!! YAY. It was a big relief, so now I really really would love to have the baby in the next few days. Anyway, I am feeling pretty nauseous and crampy so we'll see what happens. I called the doctor and let them know that Matt was staying and the nurse said they had all read about it in the paper already..haha. Anyway, I said see how big of a deal it is that he is not going, that means the baby needs to come soon! So, hopefully we will be able to work something out and have him in the next 2 days!
Also, we thought of a name that might just be "the name." I have to tell the story behind it. So, we were watching football, Texas was playing. Their quarterbacks name is Colt McCoy. So, I instantly loved the name Colt. Well, the next day, my mom sent me a message saying she heard a cute name at church, Colton! Coincidence? ANyway, so we are thinking Colton Matthew, and calling him "Colt." So..that is the name for now most likely, hopefully it sticks around!
I also have been thinking a lot about actually having a baby, and it still seems very surreal. We are getting so excited though and can't wait to meet him!

Doctors Appointment
So-- I went to the doctor this morning at 38 1/2 weeks and he said I am 60-70% effaced, and dialated 1 cm..I really wish it was more! Anyway, matt is supposed to go out of town on Monday so I am doing everything I can to get this baby to come early!! I have been having contractions off and on A lot!! They are just never strong enough!! All of the nurses at the doctor were telling me I should beg him to induce me or something, but obviously the doctor knows best and I should just be patient! Anyway...as for now I am walking a lot!!

Baby showeR..and news!
So...some updates on my little baby situation. I went in to the doctor on Wednesday at 37 1/2 weeks. They weighed me and measured my belly, and I hadn't gained any weight and my belly hadn't grown! (it's measuring at 33 cm) Anyway, so he said I would have to go in and do an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay (me, not knowing anything, was a little nervous for it) Anyway, so I went in yesterday to the ultrasound and she said everything looked fine, he is right on track, and 7 lbs! I think that is so weird that he is that big inside of me right now. Well, she said since I had a long torso, he was just hiding really well inside of me. It was kind of a relief, and very fun to be able to see another ultrasound! She showed us his little face, and as soon as we saw it we both said, Wow, he has big lips! (I don't know if they just looked big from a side profile, or if he will have large lips) Anyway, right after we said that and were laughing, he covered his hands over his face and wouldn't move them...it was kind of funny, and kind of got me excited to have him come out!!! Anyway---enough about all that, I had an awesome baby shower last Saturday in Idaho Falls with my mom's and dad's families and a few friends that live up there! It was so much fun, and thanks everyone who was able to make it!! So..this first little outfit is actually from another shower with friends. I have been saying I HAD to get one of these for the baby to wear to Matt's gameS!
Here is the back side...I love this!!
So, one more thing. A few people have been asking me if we have thought of a name yet, and the answer is NO! I'm really struggling with this. Matt said to me last night, so if you have the baby tonight...what are we going to name him, you know we have to come up with one some time. That made me a little nervous because there has not been one that I am totally in love with. I would love any suggestions...
Here is the back side...I love this!!
Okay...so this is not quite the finished product of the shelf above the dresser (we rearanged it quite a few times until it was perfect..ok my mom did) So, my mom had this shelf, and my aunt gave me the dresser and took it up to my uncle, who can make just about anything look fantastic, and he sprayed it and fixed it all up( my camera doesn't really do justice to how beautiful they both look) Okay, so then my mom, who is the craftiest woman I know(along with her sisterS) made all of the decorations to go along with it so it all matched the bedding! Soo fun!
And here is the crib..thanks to my parents we have one!...and the bedding that Matt picked out himself. It was so funny, about 4 months ago, we went to some stores in Salt Lake and were looking through all the different bedding, and from the first store he said this was the bedding we had to get! I was trying to talk him into some blue/brown combos...but he said if he got to pick out anything, this is what he wanted. So..this is what the decision was! I think it turned out awesome and I love the colors and of course the "sporty" look!
Here is a picture from the shower at my Aunt Cindy's beautiful house(her husband is the one who finished the shelf and dresser) And..here is my mom showing off some of the awesome decorations she made! Thanks mom, and everyone else who helped out!! I have the room all set up, and the blankets washed, and closet organized, but really my mom did just about all of it! She is making getting ready for a baby way too easy, so thank you!

Traveling for bball...
So..basketball has officialy started!! They played their first game last Friday night and it was sooo exciting! They ended up winning by 5, but it was an intense game! I have tons of pictures from the game, but not on my camera...someday I will post them! Then, they left Saturday morning for HAWAII :(! They spent a couple days there before they played their first game. Anyway, the cool thing was that they played on ESPN-although it was at 2 a.m. Still really cool. So, monday night I woke up at 2 to watch the game...not a good idea. Not only was I starting to get a cold, but it's already hard enough to sleep being pregnant. Anyway, the game went into OVERTIME, and didn't get over until 4:30. They ended up losing in overtime to UH, when they should have won. So..after staying up that long of course I could not go back to sleep, so around 6 o'clock I dosed back off finally just in time to wake up at 7. So, yesterday probably wasn't my best day and I think it made my cold get a lot worse! But, oh it was worth it to be able to watch Matt play on ESPN!!

Basketball and Belly...
Okay...so it seems like all I ever post are pictures of my belly-kind of lame but I want to see how big I continually get...so this is my only way of doing it. Anyway, this is me at 36 weeks! And I had matt take a picture from each angle to get the full affect...haha. I am going to be posting basketball pictures but they are not on my camera, but they won their two exhibition games and have their first real game on friday night!! Also...I had an awesome shower on Saturday with friends! It was so much fun and got me way excited to have this baby. I came home and organized his closet and cleaned out everything so I'm feeling a little bit more ready to have a baby. I'm so lucky to have such awesome friends who support me..thanks!!

Halloween
So...this was actually before Halloween, me at 34 weeks! yaay..I dont know why I dont look too happy in this picture!
Here is another shot where I look a little bit happier! I am now 35 weeks and getting very anxious, but not too anxious! My doctor did say he would try and induce me on December 4th!! yay. Matt goes out of town on the 8th, my due date, so hopefully all works out!

Well...isn't he a good sport. I had to talk him into doing it, and then I drew the face on it(trying to make it look like a baby-didn't really succeed)
This was my job..the best part!! Digging all the insides out!
In the process...
Anyway, our lives have been good these last few weeks! I can't believe it is already NOVEMBER..yay!! Matt has his first game tomorrow! UNfortunately I have class and can not miss so I have to miss the game... Anyway, Im getting very excited to start watching him, its such a fun time of year, and this will be the lasT! I think I'll be more excited once the baby is born so I can bring him to the games instead of my belly!!

Fall!
So since I haven't written a post for sooo long because my life is not exciting at all right now, I thought I would just make a few comments on the past couple of weeks!
First off, I love fall! I have never been a big fall person, but I am loving the 50-60 degree weather. Although it did snow for a couple of days(I was a little nervous we were skipping fall and going straight to winter) but now it's back to pretty nice weather!
Second of all, the semester is more than half way oveR! Wow...its gone by fast! But the worst is yet to come...and here I am posting instead of doing homework like I should be.
Third, Basketball season is underway!! Matt had his first practice last week, and they have a scrimmage this saturday and a game in a week and a half! It's so crazy! I'm so excited for games to start, just not him traveling!!
And last...I don't have very much longer until this baby is born!! yay!! I still don't feel like my belly is getting huge, but it definitely feels big enough to make everything uncomfortable! I don't have any of his furniture, which is really sad but I'm having a hard time picking it out..as well as a name! Oh well, I guess I have a little while to decide! Well..thats about all going on here, hopefully I will have some exciting pictures of SOMETHING coming up soon!

Happy Birthday Matt!
Me at 30 weeks!! Yay! 10 to go! Everything is going well and Im actually feeling pretty good. Im figuring out the whole school thing so that makes things a lot better, and not quite as much stress! We have both been busy busy lately trying to stay on top of things before Matt starts basketball and the baby comes!!! But we are getting very very excited! We even organized our extra closet to make space for some little baby clothes!! I can't believe how fast it is coming!
So...Today is Matt's 25th birthday!!! yay!! And, I decided like a month ago that I wanted to have a surprise birthday for him because once our little babies start coming around our birthdays probably won't be quite as important as there's! Anyway, so finally about a week before his birthday I really, really decided to do it! With much help from his mother, Misty(my sister-in-law) and wonderful friend Mikkel, we pulled it off!! And he was soo surprised! Here is Matt and I after everyone sang Happy Birthday!

And he was soo surprised! Here is Matt and I after everyone sang Happy Birthday!
Here is an upclose shot!!!
So...this is everyone waiting for him (well not everyone, but a few of them). It ended up taking a while to get him in the house... Misty called and had us come out to his parents house to get her because her "car broke down" and she needed a ride. Really, everyone was waiting out at his parents house for us to come. Anyway, when we got there Matt decided to go ahead and put her carseats into our car while I was supposed to go inside and get them to come out...ooops! So, everyone waited patiently inside while he loaded all the carseats in for no reason at all!! Everyone was kind of getting sick of waiting for him...as you can tell by the faces! (except for Mikkel..always smiling)
Misty and Brandon...waiting!!!
So Clair(matt's dad) and Brandon(his brother) saddled up the horses and took his team out for some riding. They also had the 4-wheelers out for them to ride on! It was entertaining to watch because some of them had never ridden a horse in their liveS! His mom took some great pictures of all of them riding...too bad my camera isn't that good! Here are the girls just hanging out!!
Overall it was a lot of fun, and though I stressed soo much he was going to find out, it turned out greAT and he had no Idea! Anyway, Matt has always tells me how much he hates surprises and everyone even knowing it is his birthday, but he deserved it!! Happy Birthday Matt!! Thanks for being an awesome husband, friend, and soon to be daddy!!!

3 months to go!!
So...here is the lovely growing pregnant belly at 27 weeks or (6 months)!! It feels like time is going by really really slow, but then when I think that I only have 3 months left that doesn't seem to bad! P.S. we are really struggling thinking of names...we had a name picked out Jalen Paul Stucki and we really like the nickname JP, but its so hard to decide! ANyway-- this is a rReally big decision and I'm having a hard time with picking one out! Anyone have any really cute names that they aren't using??? haha.
Here is a view from the other siDE! Anyway...the pregnancy has been going well. There are always ups and downs but I have been feeling pretty good lately. The past few weeks with school/teaching have been good. I feel like Matt and I go go go all week and then come Saturday/Sunday we have a little bit of down time to relax and catch up on some homework from the week. Last Saturday was probably one of the greatest days...Matt had practice in the morning but was home by 9 and we just worked on homework, and napped, and caught up on everything all day! I'm sure as the semester progresses though those days will be spent doing more homework and less relaxing..oh well!
OK..sO I also have to vent a little bit on some students that are PAYING to go to school and aren't willing to make the effort. I really don't understand it at all. I think being on the other side (a teacher's perspective) you realize that some people really don't care and its crazy to me! Anyway, I love this oppurtunity that I have and really am enjoying it and learning to appreciate those students who care and who really are there to learn and get an education! It makes me want to be that much better of a student in the classes that I am taking if only for the teacher's sake!
